Originally from Illinois, the Johnson family moved to North Carolina in 1996 when Doug was transferred to a new position. When we arrived, we were greeted with open arms by Hurricane Fran! What a welcome home! Since arriving we found a need in the food industry and created a popular local brand named álarita Gourmet Foods, which is sold throughout North Carolina and in our local Farmer’s Market. While building álarita, we started learning more about the needs of our customers, which lead us to begin helping those who need to sell their house fast.

We created Pitt Home Buyers to help people right here in Ayden who find themselves in difficult situations. Meet Our Team

Ryan Johnson is a long-time sales rep for álarita Gourmet Foods and a veteran of the army national guard. Since returning from Afghanistan in 2013, he has been studying real estate and investing. He finally decided to dive into the world of wholesaling in 2018 to begin actively learning and building wealth. A lover of gaming and utilizing his imagination, he plays table-top RPGs, board games, TCGs, and video games in his spare time.

La Rita Johnson has been a hunt seat riding instructor since 1976, where she taught and rode in Crystal Lake IL. When her family moved to Winterville NC in 1996 she started teaching horseback riding lessons for Rock Springs Equestrian Center in Greenville. While teaching at Rock Springs she started working for Champions Health and Fitness where she was Customer Service/Manager. In 2004 the Johnson Family started a fresh salsa company called, Salsa a La Rita, selling at the local Pitt County Farmers Market. Since then La Rita has gotten her Acidified Food Canning Certificate through NC State University and has gone on to sell canned salsa’s in Eastern NC to specialty stores from Fuquay Varina to the Coast. She has been managing the local Leroy James Farmers Market the last three years and said, “This Community has been a pleasure to work with, I wouldn’t trade it for anything!”

Hi, I’m Mike Otranto and this is my assistant, Ruby the Beagle (she keeps up the morale around the office). We want to thank you for visiting our website. Real estate has been my passion since the mid-2000s. I have always preferred to buy houses directly from owners and not deal with banks, auctions, or 3rd parties. I believe in working locally with the people of my community.

Scott Johnson graduated from D.H. Conley High School in 2004 and has always enjoyed learning about business and real estate. Two years ago, he decided to turn his passion into his full-time source of income. He has a strong background in sales and marketing and enjoys developing relationships with clients and other investors. He has a 9-year-old daughter named Coraline and enjoys spending time with her, making honey mead, learning about business and investing and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Karlie Johnson graduated from Ayden Grifton high school in 2010. She has dealt with the public for years, starting in customer service with Wilco for 3 years and assistant manager at Murphy oil corporation for 5 years. Finally landing her dream job as a registration specialist at Orthopedics east in 2016. She met her love Micheal and began her new life as a Starling on March 24th, 2018. Her handsome, free spirited little boy Brantley Starling was born shortly after on May 10th, 2018. She enjoys four-wheel riding, fishing spending time with her little man and watching him grow!
